Nature

I seek to present everyday scenes from a different perspective. As a matter of philosophy, I prefer working with natural light and its contours. Using light as the key tool to guide my creativity, I explore different angles and metering modes to identify creative ideas.

Glowing Devil's Ivy

Glowing Devils Ivy.jpg

A dying Devil's Ivy plant illuminated from behind by the early morning sunlight throws up a beautiful opportunity. Spot metered to capture the golden glow this image shows up a beautiful pattern of veins on the leaves with moody illumination.

The Solitary Rose

Solitary Rose.jpg

A Rose is always a beautiful image. In the late evening light during monsoon, this lovely bloom presents a contrast of colours against the dark background of leaves.

Spot Billed Pelican

Spot Billed Pelican.jpg

A resident of Chennai, Spot Billed Pelicans are stunning birds. Large and highly shy, these water birds are amazing in every angle. With light shining in the right angle, the bird traces an illuminated path through the dark backwaters in Chennai.

The Indian Palm Squirrel is a common animal found across India. These hyperactive creatures are hardly ever standing still. This curious squirrel gave me a fleeting look and the image was frozen by the camera.

Crowned Flower

A beautiful Frangipani is crowned by a bunch of buds. This surreal image illuminated by the dispersed light of an overcast day presents an ethereal image.
